St Ethelburgas
History
Nestling between the high rise towers of the City, St Ethelburga's is an oasis of peace in the busy City. Rebuilt after destruction by the IRA's Bishopsgate bomb in 1993, the Centre is a fascinating hybrid of ancient and modern, complete with a lovely secret garden and the Tent, our remarkable private space for conversations of many kinds.

Vision
A less divided world.
Mission
St Ethelburga's is a reconciliation and peace centre in the City of London working towards a less divided world.
Goals
To help people build relationships across divisions of conflict, culture and religion. When people really listen to each other they can build new relationships. Such relationships make the world a less divided place and create more peaceful communities.
Approach
Our distinctive approach is to create transformative opportunities for people to explore difference, division and disagreement safely and creatively. We encourage people to reflect on the inner, inter-personal and community dimensions of their situation, and go deeper into the paradox that faith can be both a source of division and a resource for transforming conflict.
Structure
St Ethelburga’s Centre for Reconciliation and Peace is a company limited by guarantee Registered in England and Wales no: 6408424 and a registered charity no: 1121983 It has 501 ( c ) 3 status in the USA.
